ESM-04: HDCP Embedded Security Module

The ESM-04 implements a complete HDCP cipher solution conformant to Revision 1.1 of the standard. The design implements a high speed cipher that is capable of encrypting or decrypting high definition video signals up to 5 Gbps, which is necessary to accommodate 36 bit color depth encoding at uncompressed HDTV (1080p60) bit rates. The ESM-04 also includes Elliptic's proprietary key wrap technology which is used to decrypt a key load stored in encrypted form in external Flash memory and thereby avoid the use of costly on-chip non-volatile memory.
